Several Federal Reserve officials have indicated that further interest rate increases may be necessary to combat inflation. New York Fed President John Williams suggested another rate hike could be appropriate by the end of the year, while Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid stated the Fed still has work to do on inflation.
