Gigi Simo, formerly the CEO of applications and then CEO of AI deployment at OpenAI, is leaving the company. Simo had been on extended medical leave and her responsibilities will be divided among other executives.
“Gigi Simo, the former CEO of applications, I believe was her title at OpenAI. That was her initial title. It was later changed to CEO of AI deployment.”
“So she is leaving the company. She was on an extended medical leave due to some health problems she had had.”
“She is now officially sort of stepping back from that role and her roles will be divided up among other executives.”
