The Justice Department and 17 states have reached settlement agreements with three major egg producers: Calman Foods, Hickman's, and Versova. The companies were accused of illegally coordinating to inflate egg prices between June 2022 and March 2025. As part of the settlement, the companies will pay $3.3 million to the states, implement anti-trust compliance programs, and donate over 53 million eggs.
