Anthropic has released Claude Opus 5.5, which they claim performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1. The company estimates a 40% cost reduction for typical workloads due to lower token prices and more efficient token usage. Opus 5.5 is also reported to generate output over 30% faster than its predecessor, Opus 5, with early testers noting clearer writing.
