Shuhei Yoshida noted that the number of people playing games has increased significantly over the last 20-30 years, with gaming and game creation spreading globally thanks to digital distribution and accessible tools like Unity. He also highlighted that emerging AI tools are further lowering the barrier to entry for game creation.
“So, you know, looking back, how the industry has progressed, I think, um, every year, almost every year for the last, you know, 20, 30 years. There are more people playing games, I think, you know, across many different devices and, uh, from all over the world.”
“And game creation has spread to all corners of the world. Thanks to, you know, digital distribution of games. Anyone can buy games as far as, you know, you have access to internet and money.”
“And now, AI tools is coming out. That's making even more larger number of people to become a game creator.”
