Many investors are choosing to hold onto their 'high flyer' stocks rather than taking profits near the end of the quarter. While tax-loss harvesting is being considered towards year-end, there's a general inclination to maintain positions in these high-performing stocks for now.
“I'm curious when it comes to your clients, if they're willing to give up their high flyers and their winners just left to take profits toward the end of the quarter, or if they really have no signs of willing to let go of any of those just yet.”
“Yeah, I think we're seeing that folks, again, our arc so often is across a long-term investing horizon. And so you don't see a lot of profit taking that occurs with those high flyers.”
“But I think you see folks holding onto those high flyers for now.”
