The way consumers search for beauty products is shifting from brief Google queries to extended conversations with AI chatbots. Users are spending significantly more time, up to 11 minutes, interacting with AI for beauty advice compared to the 3-4 minutes typical for a Google search.
“And I think that really speaks to this conversational element. It's almost as if a search engine can lean in and say, okay, tell me more about what you want.”
“So Google data has shown when people use their AI mode, they're spending, you know, roughly 11 minutes having these conversations looking for help with their beauty products or their beauty routine. Whereas, you know, a traditional Google search is maybe three to four minutes when you're trying to find a new product.”
