A Tesla owner reported that their phone's large camera bump prevents it from charging on the car's built-in wireless charger. This issue, common across manufacturers as phones grow larger and camera modules become more prominent, has led some users to revert to using charging cords.
“Until I upgraded to a 17 Pro Max last year. And now my phone won't charge because the massive camera bump lifts it too high off of the charger.”
“This is such a problem that you can find aftermarket magsafe replacement that go in the same spot, but personally, I have just started using a cord again.”
“Because, uh, you know, phones are getting bigger, and the chargers are staying in the same place. And the, the camera bumps are getting bigger and bigger and bigger.”
