Andrew believes that the technology for voice interaction with machines has finally passed a critical inflection point in the last year or two. He describes it as a 'solved problem' where the AI not only understands speech but also correctly incorporates grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure into text.
“Uh, the the auditory interface, the the verbal interface with machine. It's sort of in the early days, I was just dictating software didn't work very well. And if it did, it was very slow. And it made all sorts of mistakes. And it's it's actually it feels like we've just passed that inflection point. Really. last year or two, where it's kind of like, not only is that I would classify as a solved problem. Like it's solved. It's not even up for debate. It's got it.”
“And and it's. It's plateauing, but it's getting to the point now where it's even like it does a little, uh, like the Rs and the ums and the tonal kind of stuff and. And you don't even when you're talking, it still puts the grammar in properly where it gets where the comma goes and the full stop and the new sentence starts. Yes.”
