Scott notes that voice input for AI, like with ChatGPT, is increasingly useful because it handles disjointed or 'messy' prompts effectively. He finds this particularly valuable for coding tasks, as the AI can piece together even poorly structured requests, unlike human developers who might require clearer instructions.
“This is the least shocking thing anyone will hear on this podcast, but it was a very disjointed stream of consciousness. Like, I want to kind of do this, but sort of that, and blah, blah, blah. And it's just like, it's a mess. It's a dog's breakfast of a prompt. But what you learn is is actually it doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. It'll piece it together.”
“And just, I find that really valuable when it's kind of, particularly with coding stuff. It's like, hey, I'm doing this thing and I kind of want it to do that. But it doesn't really do that. And sometimes it does this. And it's just like, the kind of thing that would have would have made my devs just slap me in the face and an old world go, dude, can you just like, spell that out a little clearer for us here?”
