Nick Killian of Archetype AI reports that his company has collected close to a billion hours of physical AI data. He explains the importance of this data for understanding sensor issues and predicting machine failures, where anomalies can be features, not just errors.
“So, we're, we're getting close to, uh, a billion hours now of of physical AI data that we've been able to script and and gather and collect.”
“Uh, there's quite a bit of, uh, uh, of resampling and, you know, really understanding, like missing values in sensors is, is is that because the sensor had an issue, or has actually the machine itself is connected to that, that's actually a feature that helps explain that machine is about to break, right?”
“The reason the sensor is giving you all these nines and nines is not because the sensor is broken, it's actually it's actually a feature of the machine.”
