Colonel Douglas Macgregor claims that Iran effectively controls oil shipments from the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, stating that only about 10% of usual traffic is moving. He also mentioned that tankers leaving are largely permitted by Iran, and those attempting to evade are attacked.
