Ischia, one of the islands near Naples, is highlighted for its healing thermal spas and numerous beach clubs. The island's volcanic geology contributes to its warm waters, with options ranging from paid spa parks like Ngombo to free natural hot springs. The transcript also mentions historical sites like a medieval castle and the island's fertile soil, earning it the nickname 'the green island'.
“Okay, well, I will say that what you're go there for is thermal spas and springs, et cetera. So it's very much. Like an island of healing properties. That's maybe why everyone feels so relaxed there.”
“And so, and beach clubs, you know, there are so many beach clubs. Now I know, and I've talked about this before in my other podcasts. I'm not as beachy. It's quite funny that I'm on an island. Because I live on an island that's known for beaches.”
“I went there a couple of years ago and, yeah, this is an amazing experience. All right, so I do not like cold water at all. I really don't. We live here in Australia on the oceans. And it's freezing so you know if anyone who knows ocean water it's a lot colder than sea water but there everything is warm for some reason even this even the sea around but you can go um on a boat tour around the island and we can talk about a bit more about that later but it's instead of walking down to this beach where you can feel the thermal waters in the sea you can actually swim.”
