Microsoft has officially launched its Copilot Super App, consolidating chat, coding, and agent functionalities into a single interface. The app, which rebrands the AI assistant Scout as Autopilot, features three tabs: Home for chat and co-work, Code for creating apps and automations without extensive coding, and Autopilot for a personal AI teammate. Microsoft is implementing usage-based billing for certain features within the new app.
“Microsoft has launched its Copilot so-called Super App, bundling chat, coding and agents into a single interface and rebranded its AI assistant, Scout, as Autopilot.”
“The Code tab is the surprise edition to the so-called Super App, and not one you'd typically associate with an app designed for knowledge workers.”
“It shows up where people already work. Teams, Outlook chats, channels and documents. So you can @ mention it like a colleague, with permissions, audit and governance behind it.”
