Ron Paul argues that the current oil price issues are not due to a lack of supply but rather excessive government intervention and interference. He criticizes the current approach to addressing these problems.
“And if they look at the price and distribution, it isn't that we lack ability, it isn't there there's a lack of oil. There's too much government intervention. Legally and, uh, interfering.”
“But there's always some excuse for it. But it's the fact that, you know, liberty, which I'm interested in, is not a goal. It's a talking point. But that that is not the goal. The goal is to serve the special interests, whether it's power of money or whatever they want. Uh, I think that's why the wars are fought.”
