There are claims from the Trump administration that Mark Carney was not acting in good faith during trade negotiations. However, the speaker states they will not attack their Prime Minister on foreign soil.
“Do you believe though, that Mark Carney, uh, was acting in good faith in those negotiations? I ask because one of the things you kept hearing from the Trump administration, and how would let me in particular, was that he was not.”
“Well, I'm not going to attack my Prime Minister on foreign soil. Just not something I'm going to do.”
