Market strategist Tom Lee is forecasting a substantial rally in the S&P 500, potentially reaching above 8,200 by the end of the year and continuing into the next. He attributes this optimism to the resurgence of tech stocks, particularly the MAG-7 and software companies, and the sustained AI trade.
“I think post midterms, Because this year has been very challenging, and I know it's not been fun for a lot of viewers, I think the fourth quarter could be one of the biggest rallies, and I think it continues to next year to one of the biggest rallies of our lifetime.”
“I think we could easily be above 8,200 by the end of the year.”
“And the software names, which have been important names to be held, are doing better. So as long as the AI trade isn't extinguished, which we don't expect, I think it's going to come out of this correction.”
