Ian Cassel believes the micro-cap space has shrunk, citing a lack of high-quality small companies going public. He suggests focusing on the quality of businesses rather than the volume of micro-caps, ideally companies that do not need to raise external capital.
“Yeah, I think it's probably down. I mean, I think the main thing that we see is just the lack of higher quality small companies going public, small.”
“You know, and the irony is, well, and I still do, I think that the best companies that should be public are the ones that don't need to raise money. You know, they do the best, you know, and that's what I look for.”
“And, you know, for me, I think that that's, you know, the most important thing. And, you know, maybe we should focus on getting small businesses that are good businesses to go public again.”
