How to Money · Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Beth Pinsker shared how her experience caring for her mother shifted her perspective on the purpose of money. Instead of solely focusing on accumulating wealth, she now emphasizes living with purpose and intention, finding joy in experiences, and using resources to support loved ones and meaningful endeavors.
“The biggest thing that changed for me is that big question of what are we doing all of this for money? Like it seems like we spend a lot of time in our working lives like collecting money and collecting money and collecting money, and then we never figure out what we're going to do with it. And for me, that has changed my whole philosophy of what I want to do with my life and how I want to live it and you know, very much more, not just live for today in some sort of hedonistic way.”
“So it's not just about going off and living on the beach and playing golf, like, it's about really living with purpose and intention and getting the most out of everything. Like I just want to experience things and get joy from them when I can, you know, and that's what money's for for me.”
