Protection is still vital in one's 40s and 50s, even as focus shifts to wealth building and retirement, according to Justin Harper, CMO of Life Search. “So, I wanted to have a conversation really about life insurance, a little bit later on in life. Uh, we tend to talk about it more for younger adults, um, and that kind of life stage, but it's still important in our 40s and 50s.”
“So, um, I can see and understand why people start to to feel that the importance of protection drifts away. When in fact, it probably becomes more complex and as you've got more to protect financially, probably more important as well.”
“Uh, and I think individuals, whilst they may feel they're comfortable. Uh, if you're like me, and people I know, then you kind of live within your means, but right at the edge of your means. And if something were serious to happen to you, or a family member, then the consequences can hit pretty hard and pretty quick, actually.”
