The Treasury announced on Monday that it could access its General Account (TGA) for up to $1 trillion to buy back bonds. Following this news, gold and Bitcoin saw an increase in value, while stocks experienced a decline, largely due to a sell-off in semiconductors. Oil prices also fell on the announcement.
