Kit DesLauriers recounts her childhood as "pretty darn normal" but highlights her early introduction to skiing at age 14. She also shares that her father was a significant adventure buddy, encouraging her explorations, and that she learned rock climbing and mountain biking in college.
“So I was 14 the first time I went ski at a ski resort.”
“My dad especially was pretty wild. So he was a lot of my adventure buddy and honestly through the years, like, I, you know, say the first time I went and skied the Grand Teton and I called my dad.”
“At the UFA in Tucson, I learned to rock climb, I got deep into mountain biking, I, you know, did crazy things like sold my clarinet from middle school and high school and bought, you know, tickets to go see the Garcia band in San Francisco and what I, I didn't like that.”
