Rowena Sjovall details her explorations in the Loire Valley, highlighting visits to chateaux like Loches and Azay-le-Rideau, and discovering the village of Vouvray, known for its wine. She also recounts her experience at the Tapestry of the Apocalypse in Angers.
“I visited other chateaus, like, you know, as one of our field trips, we went to the village of Loches. L-O-C-H-E-S. Yes. Very beautiful medieval village, very quaint. I love the cobblestones.”
“But what I loved about it is it has a natural walking path in the back. I just happened to walk around, and then I saw this path, and I just followed it.”
“I also visited Blois. The Chateau of Blois, and that was very imposing looking at it from the street because, you know, you're walking the street, then you're going down a little bit, and then you see this just massive chateau, the way it's angled because you see the rock that is it built from.”
