An Anthropic researcher has stated that there is a significant chance, potentially over 10%, that AI could lead to human extinction within the next decade. The researcher also admitted that Anthropic, despite its efforts, does not currently have a plan to solve the alignment problem for superintelligence and is not on track to do so.
