Alison Johnson described the atmosphere at Apple's recent event, noting it was John Turnis's first as CEO. She observed his presentation style as confident and energetic, suggesting he is setting a new tone for his leadership.
“Yeah, it was, there was a lot of anticipation for it. And we do that thing where, you know, the inside baseballers, we kind of file into the Steve Jobs theater, and we're way up, uh, in the nosebleeds, not that it's a big theater, but, uh, the execs are kind of milling around, uh, by the stage. And it was so, I, I think it really hit me when we saw Tim Cook down there, kind of with, you know, jaws and everybody, um, wearing like a, a leisure jacket, I was like, lookin' super relaxed. It was like, oh, wow, this isn't his show anymore.”
“Um, so, yeah, I think that was, that was the tone he set.”
“And, you know, I think maybe it's, it's sort of tired if you said it every single year, but it does, you know, nice to hear from the new guy that he's taking that Apple creative spirit forward.”
