Richard Teng detailed Binance's strong performance in the perpetual futures market, where its market share grew from 38% to 44% year-to-date. The exchange has introduced new product classes like commodities, petrochemicals, and tradeable perpetuals for stocks, which have seen significant volume, reaching over $100 billion weekly average in July and August.
“So, if you look at our futures market share, right? It rose from about 38% beginning of the year to now 44%.”
“This is a new product class that we only introduced this year, right? So, beginning of the year, we introduced commodities, perpetuals, we introduced petrochemicals, and then we started to introduce stocks, trade file perpetuals. And they have been doing extremely well.”
“So, if you look at our trade five perpetuals, we do now weekly average volume of more than 100 billion, July and August, you know, again, is a very good months. We saw more than 400 billion for each of the month.”
