The newly released Apple iPhone Duo is being directly compared to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, particularly in terms of its form factor and design. Dom Preston, who has experience with various foldable phones, noted that the Duo's size and shape are very similar to Samsung's offering. He also pointed out that the iPhone Duo might be a slightly lower-spec device in some areas, especially its cameras, mirroring Samsung's strategy of offering different tiers within their foldable lines.
“High level, I think the the very obvious thing is this looks a lot like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, uh, which launched this summer.”
“And that's partly just the big thing, which is this has that same possible size and shape design that we kind of all knew Apple was bringing.”
“But it's also a slightly lower spec device in some ways, particularly the cameras. You know, it's got the dual camera here, and really want to dig into the details of the camera specs as well.”
