He noted that copper's commodity value makes it a significant target for resale or use in jobs, and that this theft occurs across various locations, including historical sites.
“So I would say volume, it's typically something like a power drill.”
“And then when you start to get into dollars, believe it or not, copper and wire have a lot of the commodity.”
“Value out there. And so we see people come in, they'll take a lot of that stuff out of the building and try to resell it or use it on jobs, things like that.”
