The Looney Tunes universe expanded with new characters, including Daffy Duck, who debuted in 1937's 'Porky's Duck Hunt' and was noted for his hyperactive personality. The most famous character, Bugs Bunny, made his debut in the 1940 Merrie Melodies short 'A Wild Hare,' quickly becoming a hit and later officially joining the Looney Tunes lineup in 1944.
