Lavon Edwards detailed his experience flying Emirates First Class, which cost 186,000 points per person and incurred taxes and fees of approximately $600 to $1000 per person. He opted for the A380 due to its amenities, including the onboard shower, as part of his wedding anniversary trip.
“To be honest, like when you are booking uh, Emirates first class on with Emirates points, you're gonna kind of get hammered with taxes and fees if you're going through Dubai.”
“Yes. Uh, it was 186,000 points, uh, per person, plus around, it actually might have been a little bit north of 1000.”
“So, yeah, I definitely wanted to get the A380. I think that was another thing that kind of led into the decision to, I'll go from Toronto, just doing from some of the research, they had the A380s.”
