OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra is enabling individuals with no programming background to create intricate 3D environments using Blender. Previously, such tasks required weeks of work by skilled artists, but Astra can now generate these environments, including rigging, texturing, lighting, and camera work, in a fraction of the time.
“And Kevin, the one that I saw first and foremost that really kind of shocked me was Duncan Trussell, who I think you know, right? From, uh, he's been, you've done podcasts, I think, with him who, who made, he's not like a programmer, but he made a 3D environment of the back room.”
“When I say created with Blender, this used to be the kind of thing that took people, you know, weeks to make these sorts of environments. Because you would have an artist go in there, and they would have to kind of know how to kind of manipulate the 3D objects, how to do this stuff.”
“When you watch Astra be able to do something like this, and suddenly you're sitting there in a 3D environment, you can really start to feel the, I hate that phrase, but you can start to feel the AGI a little bit, right?”
