Ina Garten's upcoming podcast, "Happy Hour with Ina," will allow her to feature guests she previously couldn't host on her television shows. She explained that the podcast format makes it easier to secure guests, as they can simply stop by for a drink and a conversation when they are already in New York for other engagements.
“The show is launching next month and it'll feature guests who say you felt you couldn't have on your TV show.”
“So what kind of guests are we going to expect and how does it open up opportunities for different kinds of guests for someone like you?”
“I wonder if it opens different opportunities, but it's easier for guests. Everybody shows up in New York at some point. So if they're coming to do a speaking engagement, I can ask them to just stop by and have a drink and have a conversation with me. It's just much easier to get guests.”
“And, um, you know, I think I have guests that are chefs and guests that are not cooks. But there will be people who are chefs and musicians and writers. I mean, for example, um, Anne Patch is going to come on.”
