Larry Rosenblum details his use of augmented reality (AR) glasses at the Comédie-Française to receive English translations of plays, finding the technology to be highly effective. He saw 'Les Fourberies de Scapin' and found the AR experience to be about 98% successful.
“So AR is augmented reality, which means they have glasses, they were actually small that you, we would call them more spectacles than glasses. They would fit on your nose. So there's glass, and then it's a little bit grade, and that's a screen on which the English language translation of the play is shown on that little screen while you're watching the play through those glasses.”
“I saw Les Fourberies de Scapin. The English translation is Scapin the Schemer.”
“Yeah, and I asked, apparently they've been doing that for over two years.”
