Charles Schwab maintains its expectation that the Federal Reserve will remain on hold for now, but acknowledges it is a low-conviction call. This stance is due to current inflation levels and general uncertainty, and nothing said by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh at Jackson Hole has changed this outlook.
“So the bottom line is that, uh, pre prior to the, uh, Jackson Hole Symposium on the Charles Schwab website, it says that well, you know, you you sent, we expect the Fed to remain on hold for now, but it's a low conviction call.”
“For now, given inflation and uncertainty. Nothing he said today has changed that stance for now.”
