“So, we often do home exchange. In this case, we weren't able to do it because we're going to be gone for three months. So we rented out our own house. Now, it may not be possible for all people to do it, but it's more possible than most of your listeners probably believe.”
“Also, if you're going for a shorter period of time, if you're not going for three months, if you're only going to go for a week or two weeks, you can do home exchange, which doesn't cost anything. We've done that multiple times in multiple cities, London, Strasbourg, Amsterdam, cities in the US, and you can do it for one or two weeks.”
“The French people expect excellent food at a low price point. They're just, you know, you guys are used to eating excellent food and getting a good bargain. We Americans think that, you know, the more money you spend, the better things are. That's not necessarily true in France.”
