A new icon for the Magic Trackpad has appeared in recent iOS beta updates, which has generated excitement for its retro design. The icon is said to resemble the aesthetic of the iMac G3 'Bondi Blue' era icons.
“In my last video, I had a chance to talk about the differences between iOS 17.4 and iOS 17.5 developer beta. And there's a lot of things that Apple is doing with the new icons, like, you know, trying to put them in different places or give them different functionality. And one of those was I noticed my magic trackpad got a new icon that I just thought was really, really cool.”
“And so I was talking to John about it, and he said, you know, I love that. Send me that icon. And then he said, I would love to take that icon and then put it on my phone and use it as my app icon for his notes app.”
“It looks very clean. It's a very nice stylized look, and it reminds me of the icons from the iMac G3 Bondi blue era, which I think is just so cool and nostalgic.”
