Sonos CEO Tom Conrad stated that the company's primary focus has shifted from individual hardware products to the 'Sonos system' as a whole. He explained that when he took over as CEO in January 2025, the company was behaving like a 100% hardware company, but the reality is that Sonos is 100% hardware and 100% software.
“When I came in the door, one of my my earliest observations was that the company sort of behaved like it was 100% hardware.”
“But we're really 100% hardware and 100% software.”
“It was about returning the company to the idea that Sonos doesn't make these individual products. But we really make one thing. We make the Sonos system.”
