“I would say I was really lucky. I could follow my passion, which is probably database systems, where I started out almost 20 years ago with grad school, worked on distributed query optimization, back into the Hadoop days, like, really, really long time ago.”
“I kind of like followed along with that passion was over at SAP working on Hana in the early days, and then at some point figured out that large enterprises, yeah, maybe they're fun for a while, but not for the rest of my life and joined a startup back then called Metasphere.”
