During an ancestry discovery tour in Hungary with his daughter Terra Klein, a father expressed that he didn't feel a spiritual or historical connection to the land, but was enjoying the experience. Klein found this openness, shared while riding a ski lift, to be a significant moment that brought them closer. They also visited the national archives in an attempt to conduct research.
“And you know, I was sort of playing tour guide. My dad was, you know, really happy to be there. And he was really walking great and active. And you know, his shoulder surgery went great. So he's in rare form, very active.”
“You know, I really don't feel any spiritual connection or any historical claim to this land. But it's still very nice and I'm having a very nice time.”
“And I think really brought us closer. So we did end up going to the national archives and trying to do a little research. Hit some dead ends, but it felt really cool to try. It was a real bonding experience and something we could share with all our relatives, um, in the future.”
