The organizer of the Palantir-themed dating event, James Steinburg, revealed that Palantir sent him a cease and desist letter. He acknowledged the risk of being sued and potentially losing everything, but believes the event is worthwhile if connections are made.
“I don't know if you know, Palantir actually sent me an email to say, uh, don't use the word Palantir and stop doing this type of thing.”
“Uh, but yeah, they, they at the moment, they're just saying cease and desist. But there's a very good chance they could sue me.”
“I could lose everything. There is a lot at stake. But it would all be worth it if at least two people here have a spark.”
