Mark Zuckerberg reportedly told an internal Meta town hall that AI agent development over the past four months has not accelerated as anticipated. Meta is considering leasing its excess compute power, similar to SpaceX, due to a lack of internal products to utilize it.

“And I might as well just share the second story here, which is at Meta is now considering leasing some of its excess compute, the same way SpaceX did, uh, because it doesn't seem to have the products that can make use of it.”
