Unlike American Express's Fine Hotels and Resorts, Chase's 'The Edit' allows cardholders to book consecutive, shorter stays (e.g., two two-night stays instead of one four-night stay) and receive benefits, including property credits, for each individual booking. This strategy can be used to maximize the utilization of credits.
“Now, do you lose any benefits if you book back-to-back stays? So let's say you were trying to book, you know, the four nights at an Edit property and you did two back-to-back two-night stays. Are you going to lose any of your Edit benefits?”
“Short answer, no. That's a totally a great way to use up your two $250 two-night stay or longer credits. Um, the reason that it is a great question to ask is because this is different from how Amex does it. Um, Amex, if you book back-to-back Fine Hotels and Resorts stays, um, only the first night gets, like, in on property credit. Whereas with Chase, at least at the time of recording, we would expect you to get two property credits. Um, and so, you know, as well as other benefits. So, um, you know, you'd get the, um, you know, maybe other benefits even with Amex every day, like the free breakfast and whatnot, but the property credit is just once for the length of the stay. Whereas with Chase, at least at the time of recording, we would expect you to get two property credits.”
