To ensure that all benefits associated with 'The Edit' bookings are applied, including credits, it appears that prepayment with the Sapphire Reserve card may be necessary. This is also how the two annual $250 credits for 'The Edit' are triggered.
“So I did read one data point from someone who called and they were told that it does need to be prepaid in order to ensure that all the benefits will happen. So I don't know for sure whether that's true, but it seems reasonable to me that you may have to prepay this day with the Sapphire Reserve card in order to make sure that they get the benefits.”
“By the way, the Sapphire Reserve card has two $250 credits that you get each year for booking tonight or longer stays through the Edit. And you only get those if you prepay. So it all works out well.”
