Following his rapid income growth, Cody Burman deployed his capital into a diversified investment portfolio. In one year, he acquired 11 rental units, invested $200,000 in the stock market, and focused on his personal brand and podcast. His primary income driver during this period was his digital products business, Gold City Ventures, alongside freelancing projects.
“So, you know, like I said, my income was growing exponentially, and then, you know, from year two to year three, I made $403,000. And I kept my expenses the exact same, $24,000 a year. So my gap grew to $379,000 in that year. And so like, you know, from that point, I started to deploy that capital.”
“I bought 11 rental units in that year. I invested $200,000 in the stock market. And then, you know, I was really leaning into my personal brand and my podcast and things like that.”
“But the one that took off the most with my digital products business, Gold City Ventures, that started to take off, and I think like mid 2019, 2020. That was a line share of the income that I was making.”
