Unlike abundant data for language models, robotics faces significant challenges due to a lack of data for both training and evaluation. Unlocking the power of scaling laws in robotics requires addressing this data scarcity, a problem many are actively trying to solve.
“Really what Cinex team is doing is trying to solve this extremely difficult problem in robotics, which is the lack of data. The lack of data in training, lack of data in evaluation, this is very, very different from language models where data is abundant on the internet.”
