Sergey Nazarov highlighted several problems with existing DeFi liquidity pools, including being 'sandwiched' by bots and liquidity becoming fragmented. Aqua aims to solve these by allowing users to define their own strategies and keep assets in their wallets.
“I provided some liquidity and, uh, I played wrong with the maximum acceptable price impact. And somehow like I forgot to reset it and I got sandwiched by providing liquidity and lost like 10 F.”
“And the fact that you get diluted with like sitting with the others in the, in the liquidity pool with the fees what are defined by the, by the Uniswap team, you know, like you can only choose 30, 5, 1, 1, you know, 1%.”
“And, um, we have benefit that you don't need to distribute your liquidity into different pools.”
