Despite being considered a highly capable AI model, Fable 5 is seeing slow adoption among US companies, with new sales data indicating low uptake through its API. In its first month, Fable 5 accounted for only about 6% of tokens purchased from Entropic models, significantly lower than competitors like OpenAI's GPT-4.5 Sol and Google's Gemini 3.7 Flash. Ramp economists attribute this sluggish adoption to Fable 5's high price, costing approximately $10 per 1 million input tokens and $50 per 1 million output tokens, roughly double that of comparable models.
