AI Investment Supply Chain: Beyond DRAM and High Bandwidth Memory

Nelson Jue of Alliance Bernstein highlighted that while the AI story is well-known, opportunities still exist for uncovering bottlenecks by focusing on less obvious parts of the supply chain. He pointed to specialized materials and substrates needed for high-performing chips as areas where uncovered companies are benefiting.

But I think this is a place where really doing your research and thinking locally can really help. And I think you could still find by doing distinctive research, you could still find uncovered bottlenecks. And here's a great example. Think about the whole AI investment supply chain.

You need substrate, you need materials. And now what we're seeing here is these are the companies that are uncovered and benefiting. You go into Taiwan and you find these smaller companies that have a lock on the market and very specialized materials.
