For a Saturday night out in Helsinki, James Hammond visited Mama Telli, described as a cool, closed-off outdoor street costing €13 to enter. It features bars and karaoke, with live music playing 70s and Finnish classics. Hammond noted it was packed with locals and involved a lot of dancing and drinking.
“For us on a Saturday, this was our night out in Helsinki, and a recommendation from my local was to go somewhere called Mama Telli.”
“We went there. It's a cool little closed-off outdoor street, and it costs €13 just to get into the street, and then it has bars and karaoke either side of the street, on the street level and down underneath underground too.”
“Absolutely heaving with locals, as live band playing, amazing 70s and Finnish classics, and some interesting Finnish classics.”
