Several major tech companies, including OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Meta, have signed onto an open source AI alliance. This alliance, launched by Nvidia, aims to promote open frontier models for research and incident investigation.
“The open weights and American AI leadership letter so far counts 50 signatories with OpenAI and Google joining Microsoft, Nvidia, Meta, AMD, Cisco, Cloudflare, GitHub, and OLAma.”
“On Monday, Nvidia launched the open source AI alliance with more than 35 founding members including Microsoft, IBM, Hugging Face, Palantir, Red Hat, CrowdStrike, and the Linux Foundation.”
